This vest seems to get lots of reviews from big guys stating that it's too small, and too short in the front... Bottom line is that it fits like a vest is supposed to. It just hits the belt in the front, and is longer in the back. I wear a vest 10 hours a day in the winter- usually layered with a thermal and flannel, and sometimes a hoodie as well.I'm a slim person and generally dress in more stylish/fitted clothing. Knowing that this vest is mainly for work, and will have multiple layers on underneath it, a medium is an okay fit. However, it's definitely larger in width (armpit-to-armpit) than expected, and there's a good chance I could wear a small, as the medium is far roomier than the old vest I used. The blue color is really nice, and has a slightly more washed look than expected. Looks great against the brass zipper. My only real gripe is the collar. It looks good, but it just always seems to rub on the front/sides of my neck even when only zipped half-way. I'm hoping it will break in because it is mildly annoying. Not a deal-breaker, but just a little odd.
