The animals are delightful and the colors well balanced. The quilt also had good weight, making you think it will hold up well over time. This is likely one of the better quilt brands available. Sadly for us the colors overwhelmed the small room we intended it for and the seller approved the return quickly. We were impressed enough with this quilt that we chose a quilt in the same line with softer colors from this vender and are looking forward to receiving the exchange.I had been looking for a rustic log cabin themed quilt for a while. It's never easy buying bedding on the Internet because you can't really assess the quality. But after reading the reviews on Amazon for Patch Magic, I saw consistently high ratings and great comments about how well their bedding items are made. I have to agree. I'm delighted with my purchase of this Northwoods Walk pattern by Patch Magic. The colors are so vibrant with accents of different colored gingham swatches. The trees and animals are playful but not youthful so the quilt looks perfectly appropriate for an adult bedroom. The stitching is good quality with no loose threads. The quilt itself isn't overstuffed and lays beautifully on the bed. This quilt washes very well and dries easily in the machine. I have a standard top loading washer and have washed my king size on the extra-large load setting with no problem. It also fits in my standard dryer. I would definitely caution to wash this with color-safe detergent and in cold water because you don't want the colors to fade. Don't be intimidated by the busy pattern if you want to accessorize this quilt. Use the magnifier to enlarge the image so you can see all the different gingham swatches. A bedskirt in a black/red or green/white gingham would look fantastic. If you're looking for shams, you can also go with gingham and you dont' have to restrict yourself to the Patch Magic brand because the gingham swatches are small and discrete enough that you could match it to almost any brand. I wanted more decorative shams to match the quilt but couldn't find the Northwood Walk pattern in a king size. However, I found these king-size Patch Magic shams on Amazon for a great price: Nice quality. The full/queen runs very small. If you have a rustic barn yard type clean bed, order the king quilt. I ended up buying a second one because I was unhappy with the size of the full/queen.This is my 3rd Patch Magic quilt. I bought my first over 10 years ago, and it still looks and feels amazing. I love their products, they are so well made and so comfortable to sleep in. I love the rich colors of the fabrics and this one is perfect for our master bedroom in our cabin, we love it! It's just warm enough, but not too hot. You can't go wrong with these quilts.I love this and it is warm but breathes nicely. Its almost too pretty to be on a bed! My boyfriend loves it too. I feel like I'm in Wyoming on vacation when I go to bed. Glad there are still great quality homey quilts out there...We use this as an oversized throw. It machine washes and dries beautifully. The quality is all there so it should have a long life span.
