Just got this quilt today, so this is an initial quality review only.It's a lovely, decently made, lightweight quilt. The colors are vibrant, and brighter in person than they look in pictures. I worried the navy might be too dark, but it's not at all. The quilt is a bit stiff at first, I'm sure this will be resolved when I wash it. It is warmer than you would expect for its thinness. The shams have a zipper closure on one end instead of the fabric slit opening most shams have. I like the zippers, this is a plus in my opinion.I have a 13" queen mattress, I ordered a king size set. It fits perfectly, with enough length to cover the mattress on both sides. I bought King pillows to fill the shams and they look great.I took off a star because I feel like this set is a bit overpriced for the quality. Don't get me wrong, again it's decent quality, it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart, but this some pretty straight forward factory machine sewing, and for that it's a bit pricy in my opinion.I was really apprehensive buying this, as I have purchased linen online before & it turns out to be nothing like the photo or the quality or the material is severely lacking! This was a nice surprise, heavy quilted material with vibrant colors. I have a king size bed & I wanted something slightly oversized: this is exactly as I expected. It included 2 pillow cases with the king size in exactly the same material as the quilt: they are zippered which was a nice surprise & they have piping around the edge of the pillow case which covers the zippers so you cant see them.I have washed this many times & it has held up really well. It hasn't really faded too much. I wash it on a low spin cycle & I put this through the dryer also. Its holding up really well. I purchased this when it was on sale & I plan to purchase more pieces from this brand. I have eclectic tastes in home wares and this fits perfectly in my bedroom. My mom has more of a traditional/formal taste & she loved this also.It's good, not super terrific. Very generously sized for my king size bed. I wanted lightweight, and this is even a little more lightweight than I would have liked. Thinking about adding a thin blanket underneath. Yes, the shams for king are standard sized. I knew that when purchasing, so no problem there. The only flaw on the whole set was the seam edging on one sham came loose in the wash, about an inch or two. Was easy to fix with needle and thread. The colors are true to the pic. The yellow is not too bright. I thought the red might be a little pinkish. It's not. It's just red. The blue/aqua is very bright. Overall, pretty happy with it. My only real complaint is it could be thicker. This is coming from a gal living in Texas with summer approaching...My daughter picked this out. She is almost 5 and she is super happy with it. It goes over her down comforter and gives her a great option for a “summer” warmth without the down or when she is wearing very warm jammies or a “winter” warmth when used with the down. The color is brighter than it appears in the pictures. That is the only reason I knocked a star off. It can be hard to tell colors from pictures online and this was a little off. Luckily it still worked out great for us. It is just whimsical enough for a little girl but understated enough to double as our guest bed.I love the colors of this quilt. I bought it because I was looking for a light cotton quilt with a splash of color. It's also a great fit for my bed. However, when I washed the pillow covers the first time, I noticed that the colors, especially the navy, faded right off the bat. I was also disappointed that the quilt stitches started to pill. I have yet to wash the actual quilt because I would like the colors and stitches to last as long as possible. I'm afraid that what happened to the pillow covers will happen to the quilt as well.I like this set very much. I was getting tired of having a thicker comforter. This quilt is a great substitute for our king size bed. I love the colors. It has been hard to find a navy blue bedding set with a pattern. This one has soft greens and purples, which is the perfect compliment to the colors in our bedroom. I only gave it four stars, since it is not quite big enough for our king size platform bed. It is a bit short on the side. It should fit a normal king size bed fine.Beware of color on your monitor. The picture shows muted colors, but they are bright and vibrant. This worked out fine for me. Also, the quilt is moderately thin. It is not the thickness you might imagine a quilt is supposed to be, but I've also seen thinner quilts. I have a queen bed and ordered a king because I wanted a good length of overhang on the sides. I'm glad I did because a queen may have been too small. All in all it is well-made and worked out great for me.I love the colors, but even though when I washed it like the instructions directed, it still shrunk, so you may want to order the King size for the Queen. Too bad they don't have oversized because I really do love the quilt, but the shams have zippers on them and you need to be very careful with them because they are delicate, I already broke the zipper and I was very gentle with it and so I was very disappointed with that. But it's very vibrant like I wanted and adds a lot of pizzazz to my bedroom, only wish it was better quality!Excellent value and service
