Very light weight, so not going to provide much warmth for a cold winter night. That said, it's beautiful and I actually re-ordered when my husband accidentally ripped the first one on a nail. I don't need a lot of warmth, so it's perfect for us.Not quite the color blue I expected. Wanted a navy...lighter color than a true navyI luv everything about this quilt.I love the lightweight fabric, the pattern, and the pillows that come with this cheerful quilt set. I rate this a 3 because it was sewn wrong. (Actually, I should have returned it for a refund but it was too much effort, ugh). There is a border pattern on 3 sides of the quilt, with the borderless side meant to go at the top of the bed. HOWEVER, it does not fit a king bed this way; you must put the borderless edge on the side of the bed so that it's wide enough to fit across. I'm not sure if it was just a total screwup or if it was sewn for a Cal-King instead of King, but it doesn't work. I'm using it with the borderless edge on the side of the bed so that it actually fits, and just hope it's not noticeable..I love this quilt covelet. Not only is the pattern gorgeous, it is light weight, yet warm. It washes up beautifully. I'm so happy I found this quilt! It has allowed me to start making my bedroom into a beautiful retreat that will look like it came right out of a showroom. Wish I was done fixing my room so I could share pics. This quilt is my starting point. I have been truely inspired to make my room into a room you would find at any 5 star spa hotel. And, it all started when I received this quilt set - perfect.The quilt is about what I expected after reading other reviews. The Blue pillow with white thread design is done very poorly. There are loose threads all over it. I'll have to take a needle and weave the threads in for it to look acceptable. The white in the quilt is not pure white and has a tint of blue it it. It is O.K. in that it is going in a guest room that is not used very much. If used every day, I doubt this set would last more than a year or two.This is a gift. The recipient hasn't gotten it yet.......But do I realy want to give it away? I'm torn with indecision, it is so lovely and so very different. A nice weight and top notch quality. I told the person I purchased it for about it, and he is looking forward to getting it. My oh my. What a delimma. It has a strong, masculine quality, and its washable. I might have to shop for another quilt for myself.Tell you the truth is'[t kind of loud. But I like the weight of the quilt. So I turn the quilt over to the navy blue and the quilt pattern shows off just fine and now the quilt is perfect. The shams and the pillows only enhance the solid navy blue side.
