I bought this because I wanted a Barbour or Musto jacket, but didn't have an opportunity to try them on. I wasn't afraid of paying the higher price, but was a bit uncertain about ordering an expensive jacket from overseas that I could neither return nor try on.Thus, I bought this jacket from the relatively unknown company of Vedoneire. It has a similar English heritage, equestrian styling, at half or a third of the price of Barbour or Musto. So who is Vedoneire? Vedoneire claims to have been established in 1951, but their online presence seems to be very recently established. There are very few reviews of their products. They've recently rebranded according to the portfolio of the company they contracted for marketing / branding. It isn't too clear to me, as an outsider, what Vedoneire was doing before 2013, but it is clear that they're either now entering or re-entering the market with a new brand and strategy. So, how is the jacket? Just okay.Quality - The jacket's fabric has a thin feel to it. The stitching isn't spectacular. The zipper frequently catches and jams. Overall, not too impressive. However, for the price -- half or a third of their competitors -- I'm not too ill-pleased. I would question wearing this jacket for the intended uses that accompany this style, out in the field, or on a horse, but I imagine it should hold up as street-wear. C+Fit - I ordered the "custom fit" that was supposed to be well-fitted. By being fitted, the idea is that it wouldn't do well with layers, but might be more stylized. Ultimately, I've found that it does fine with multiple layers. I'm somewhat pleased to know that I can wear a thick fleece *and* a thick sweater underneath. However, this comes at a cost of the stylized fit. It isn't quite as well-fitted and slim as I expected. I'd question if I received the right jacket, but the tag confirmed the "custom fit" option. I recommend that anyone with a slim or muscular build order the custom fit, even if layering, and for only those with extra weight to order the "standard" fit. I'll give the fit a B+ despite these issues.Styling - Good! It matches my expectations. I've gotten compliments on it. When zipped, it looks fairly thin and sleek, with or without layers. I'd like if it wore a bit nicer when unzipped, but that only knocks off a plus from what I rate an A!Notes / Other - No inside pockets. The outside pockets are all vertical, so there is no place to (comfortably) put your hands. This is all pretty obvious from the photos and description, but worth mentioning.Overall -- I give this jacket a B. I wouldn't have paid more than the $100 asked here on Amazon. I think the Vedoneire company has some potential, especially if it can increase quality without tripling their prices. This is a lightweight jacket perfect for somewhat chilly mornings in the deep south. It fit a bit boxy, but better than most jackets I've tried from Orvis or L.L. bean in fit. Would layer fine if with a sweater, but boxer than I wanted with just a oxford shirt beneath. The navy on this jacket is extremely dark. I thought it was black at first. I hope it fades with time. All in all, this was a very good jacket for the price I paid. I've had many compliments and most people are shocked when I told them how cheap it was.Yes, First I bought an XL 3046, since I live abroad, that did not fit, So I couldn't return it, and I'll give to a friend as a present. Then I reordered this model because the other was not available in 2XL size, and jut in case ordered a #XL that I have sent to be fixed, the sleeves are long and the shoulders must be taken on at th same time.Overall they are wonderful light useful jackets, very well made, and I plan in the near future to order a Green one.It hard to rate a product by checking off stars. Fits well slightly snug at the chest, but not a problem. Very comfortable. I like the cross pattern stich much more than the parallel lines I see on so many other styles. I'd like to see this in some other colors. Black is not my favorite, nor is stark white. Navy is good, maybe darkish gun metal grey, or tobacco. Just sayin'So all the reviews are correct, great coat, light weight, great design but it runs large... especially at the sleeves...If you wear small sizes then forget about this. And return policy sucks! not worth it because YOU pay for shipping (which costs as much as the coat itself)Very good quality but runs small. Can't rely on virtual measurements etc. Best to try on but of course you can't. And returning is not an option.Lighter than expected and a little more delecate. More for style than ruggedIt may be a bit small because it has that skinny fit
